Eva’s first stop on the Navy base with Soledad and Rascal was the dolphin enclosures near the Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor. Without transportation of her own, they used the base bus to get there. At this time of day, the bus was empty. The bus driver took a look at Rascal and just shook her head and waved them on. Rascal wagged his tail the whole way, as if anticipating the reunion with his best friend, the wholphin Finn.
On arrival, Soledad looked around with wide eyes at the sight.
“They’re letting you keep the dolphins here, right by their national monument?”
“It’s a beautiful location,” Eva agreed. Though she still didn’t like being so close to this haunted harbor with its sunken ships.
