Sixty-Nine Sunday, May 29 Moa‘ula Waterfall, Moloka‘i Eva watched as several more tsunami waves rolled across Hālawa Valley, but none with the same force as the first, and not one hit the top of the falls again. Some washed into the pool where Taffy stubbornly stayed, but each time she anticipated its arrival and ducked down below the surface where she wouldn’t feel its impact. Unfortunately, even after the danger of the tsunami had passed, Eva and Thomas found themselves stranded. The waves had stripped the cliff face of its crevices and holds, and even the route Rascal had taken was gone. The whole landscape had been transformed, leaving them no way to get back down.
