Molokini Crater
Eva and Thomas stepped off the back of the Aggressor into the rough waters of the Cove, a dive site on the back side of Molokini Crater. They planned to make a long surface swim to the end of the crater, called Shark Ledge due to the sharks and rays congregating there. There, they would test the sound equipment with Axel one more time before descending deep, rounding the edge, and swimming into the interior of the crater. Thomas would then disarm any bombs while Eva tried to locate the dolphins and help them escape.
The surface swim proved to be the most challenging one of Eva’s life, because they had to swim against a strong current. She was grateful for all the long swims she’d done with Mel and Soledad.
