When it rained, it poured. First, Thomas’s tutu was missing, and now Julian had to show up. Thomas wanted to drop everything and go help Eva and her family—and the dolphins—but he had to find his tutu first. He hoped she’d just reappear, perhaps from visiting one of her kapu sites, and then he could get to O‘ahu immediately.
But until then, he’d remain focused. And the arrival of Eva’s family did have one silver lining: Mel. The old master chief could help with Thomas’s search. And in so doing, he could get Romina out of the marina where the Tesoro was docked. Out of the reach of Julian. Thomas would be killing two birds with one stone.
He didn’t know what Julian was up to, but he would find out. In the meantime, he’d help Eva the only way
