Mackenzie's P.O.V.
19 November, 2018
The bright sunlight crossing the white curtains straight falls on my face. Which makes me cover my face with the sheets. This f*****g sunlight wouldn't even let me sleep peacef-
"Wait," I jump up. Wait, wait, wait, where am I? I slowly examine the place and find out it's a...suite? Wait, did I sleep here last night?
My head was buzzing and I could say it was for the sober. When I was about to get down off the bed, I froze.
I was naked?
I look around again, no sign of any guy. What the hell did happening? Did I hook up with someone last night? Or-
"Oh s**t!" I curse out loud. Mr. Westphall! Oh God, what have I done? Now I'm surely going to regret this. Why the hell does it always have to happen to me? s**t!
Steadily, I start remembering all the things. From the restaurant and the Johnny part to us coming in this suite. I was so much drunk that I could barely stand on my feet. I really must've created a really, really, really wrong impression of mine in front of him.
I wonder why I didn't notice before but the guy was even more of a masterpiece up close. A pair of piercing, ice blue eyes. Dark brown hair just long enough that I could hold into during our escapades, big strong hands that held me in every position imaginable. It was actually so good to be true. If I didn't have possessive marks on my body and the deep soreness between my legs, I'd consider it as a dream.
But I think if it was a dream, it would've been much better. Sleeping with your investor? Really Mackenzie?
I get down off the bed and start searching my cloth pieces. There were down on the floor so I didn't have to bother much to find them. And after searching the whole bedroom, I didn't find my other cloth items. But after a while I was able to do so, which were in the living area.
As I was ready to leave, I find the key card on the bedside table. Mr. Westphall must've put it in here, I thought to myself.
But why didn't he leave any notes or any messages? He just left without telling me? I know we aren't supposed to have any intimate relationships but is that even considered a manner?
I walk down the hallway and to the elevator. And soon my phone starts to ring.
"Hey Mom." I answer the call.
"Where are you young lady? Aren't you supposed to pick me up from the airport? I'm waiting here!" My scolds me and I bite my lower lip. This day is going to be much worse.
"I'm sorry Mom I forgot, but I need to go to the office right-"
"No, you're going home. I'm taking an uber and also going there. We need to talk, understand?"
"Yeah." I quietly reply.
"Now don't forget it too." With that, she hangs up.
After I reach to the receptionist, I pass her the card. "Room number 304. I'm checking out." I was going to take out my credit card to pay until she spoke.
"The bill is already paid ma'am." I wasn't a bit confused at what she said. Because I was sure who must've done it.
"Alright, thanks." I quietly mumble and turn on my heels to walk out of the hotel until something caught my attention.
Johnny was standing there at the lounge, talking to Skylar. Oh, so he stayed the night too? Isn't he engaged to Jessica?
"Excuse me?" I again reach to the receptionist. "Can you tell me did they stay the night here?" I point her out Johnny and Skylar.
"I'm so sorry ma'am but we're not allowed to give any kind of information to anyone about our guests."
"But I need the information." I softly bang my fist on the counter. "Please? Please just tell it to me if they stayed the night. I promise I wouldn't tell it to anyone!"
She gave me an awkward stare and cleared her throat. "Well, yes they did. And the guy, Mr. Orlando paid."
What a total dickhead. "Thanks." I pass her a smile and again turn my eyes towards them.
I didn't know why I had the urge to go and knock the sense out of him - I mean, talk to him. And when I was halfway to approach them, I find out there was a third person too, talking to them. And I almost felt like falling off from the edge of a mountain when I recognize the person.
Ken?
They were all so into their conversation that they didn't even notice that I was standing there a few feet away from them. I decided not to step back and went to them.
"Oh hey Ken." I greeted him with a smile and turned towards Johnny.
They just immediately stopped talking after I come here and from the looks of their faces it feels like they've seen a ghost.
"Well I didn't expect you to be here." I smirked at John.
"What are you doing here?" Ken asked confusingly, arching an eyebrow.
"I can answer that question, can't I?" Johnny spoke. "May I...Mackenzie?"
I gave him a f**k you look as he played a mischievous grin on his lips. "Why? Am I disturbing you guys?" I cross question Ken.
"No, absolutely not. I was just..wondering." He replies. "Tell how are you doing love?"
"Awful." Johnny mutters underneath his breath while Skylar was just standing there, witching us.
"For your information, I had an amazing night." I clear it to Johnny. "And Ken? Yeah, I'm doing great. What are you doing here?"
"Kal called me this morning and told me to bring my car to this hotel. Cause his was punctured. I don't know what he was doing here, it's strange." Ken shrugs.
"What are you doing here now if Mr. Westphall left? Didn't you come to pick him up?" I ask.
"He had to go somewhere else and I'm going to office. So I think I have to take an uber now."
"Uh..Ken? When did he left actually?" I'm sure Ken would think that I have gone insane cause I'm asking him questions which doesn't even matter to me.
"Awh, your one night stand left you alone?" Johnny mocks me and I ball my fists with anger. I wish I could punch that no good face of his.
"You slept with Kaleb?" Ken narrows his eyes at me.
"Yeah, and probably also threw up on him so your brother left her." Johnny again breaks in. "Or she pissed him off."
I fake smile at him. "Obviously not. I'm sure he enjoyed a lot last night. So did I." I roll my eyes.
"Kal probably left you cause he has some works to do. I don't think you're bad in bed." Ken adds to the conversation.
"You bet." Johnny mutters, making me left totally embarrassed. If I am that much bad in bed, why did you freaking rape me?! I wanted to scream out loud.
And these guys have some nerves discussing about my s*x life in front of me. Disgusting!
I saw from the corner of my eye that Skylar was smirking, seems like she's enjoying a lot? "And Skylar? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at school?"
"Well, I think you're supposed to be at home, making your son ready to go to school." She cross answered me.
I seriously don't understand why Johnny and my son like this b***h. Yeah, Austin really got his father's genes. And that is the last thing I wanted to have in him.
"Actually, my boyfriend-" oh s**t! I freaking slept with Mr. Westphall and...oh no, I just cheated with Matt, f**k myself... "my boyfriend is there and he would take Austin to school."
"Yeah and it's totally out of his knowledge what his girlfriend is doing behind his back." Skylar silently says,
"And what about your boyfriend? Isn't he someone else's fiancé?" I cross my arms and Skylar confusingly looks at Johnny. Oh, so she's not aware of Jessica? Wow, what a total cheater you are Mr. Orlando.
"It's my business. So stay out of it." Johnny narrows his eyes at me.
"Then tell your girlfriend to stay out of my business too." I turn to Ken and grab his hand. "We need to talk."
Ken and Johnny exchanged looks but I already drag him outside the hotel and ask him the question bothering me. "How do you know Johnny? Why were you even talking to him?!"
"I was going to ask you the same. How do you know him?" He mumbles.
"Unfortunately, he is Austin's father." I answer. "And a treacherous liar, a selfish bastard also a total asshole."
"Wow, you surely do hate him much." Ken quietly stammers. "I actually don't know him, well properly. He was the one who reached to me and started talking to me. I think...he knows Kaleb somehow and probably he saw me with Kal. You see, after Kal came here from London, everybody's kinda interested in his business and stuff."
"Where were you when Kaleb came here?" I ask him curiously.
"Netherlands." He replies. "I came here one month ago, not with Kal."
Means...when Jessica got missing, Ken was at the Netherlands? But who knows if he's saying the truth or not? "Oh I get it. So, why were you there?"
"To finish my studies, why?"
"Which college?" I again ask him without replying.
"Why are you asking me all of these?" He snaps.
"Uh, well one of my friends will go there to study so i just - um, you know asking." I nervously chuckle.
"Well then you can give your friend my number, I'll talk to him or her myself." He stuffs his hands in his pockets.
"Yeah sure. I think I should be going...my mom's waiting for me so, um see you later."

"What do you wanna talk about?" I flat down on my couch while Mom was standing there, hands on her hips. I know that look on her face. I'm feeling like she'd start a lecture now.
"After you will be proved innocent that you didn't kidnap that girl Jessica, you'd leave this town. Forever." She says in a breathe.
"What? Why?" I furrow my eyebrows.
"Because this city is cursed! Okay? Your Dad died here! Johnny Orlando lives here! You were kidnapped once! Now you're getting framed for abducting! Do you want to hear anything else?"
"Mom I'm not a kid. I can handle myself." I clearly reply her.
"You must be twenty three, but you're still so immature." She sits beside me. "You need to live your life. Learn living your life."
"You mean to say I need to move on?"
"Yes! After what that Johnny did to you, you're still suffering for it."
"Mom, I don't regret a bit for Austin, alright? And I have my life here! I have Matt, I have my friends, I have my business!" My voice was louder than usual.
She lets out a breath. "But it's not enough. You and Austin can move to the States with me. Leave everything behind and start a fresh life. And in case of Matt, just leave him Mackenzie. You deserve much better in life!" Mom tries to make me understand while the doorbell rings.
"I'm gonna get that." I try to ignore her and what nonsense she's talking about. As I open the door I see Matt standing outside.
"Oh hey, did you drop Austin to school?" I give him a smile.
"I did. But.." his face was kind of turned off. What happened? "where were you last night?"
"Uh- I-" I give a glance back at Mom and then at Matt. Slowly I step out of the door and close it behind me.
"I'll talk to you later mom." I give a glance to mom while taking Matt towards the stairs.
"I actually was on a business meeting and then got pretty drunk. So I stayed the night at the hotel. You see, I was not in a state of driving. And I also didn't want to take an uber, it's kind of dangerous you know...so late at night." I'm so sorry Matt, I really didn't mean to sleep with Mr. Westphall.
He c***s up an eyebrow. "I didn't know you're so much good at lying."
Does he know?
"W-What?" I nervously reply as he takes out his phone and shows a picture to me.
"Well your ex boyfriend thought I should know your whereabouts of last night."
And at that moment, one more reason of me wanting Johnny dead was increased.
