Chapter Eleven – Rachael Reborn
First, she listened, eyes closed. She discovered sound is different through the natural human ear. For years all she heard was sound penetrating her dormancy deep inside of Cheeky. Recently she “heard” as a conscious essence in conversation with the creator.
Now she listened intently, the sound of wind among foliage.
She opened her eyes and was dazzled by the light. This too was different as experienced through real eyes.
Yes, she confirmed, there were both trees and wind. She took a long moment to admire the experience.
The trees were wrong, though. Well, not wrong exactly, different.
Rachael had never been to the African plains and these trees were new. But she figured the clues out quickly.
She stood and noticed herself.
God had given her a body.
