Chapter 22: Adida is King
The controlled conquest of Alonika and the death of King Isasda, is the true measure of justice meted out to whom justice is due and punishment to whom punishment is due. However, the search for Itamadi the magician and Queen Aqamasi the witch, wife of the late King was fruitless, but Adida vowed to capture them and duly bring them to justice. In the coming days, preparatory to the departure of the Matellan army, Adida was without delay crowned King of Alonika by his people and the remaining nobles who through wisdom and subtlety survived Isasda’s despotic rule. He especially depended on Malada for counsel who for all his troubles with Aqamasi remained steadfast to Alonika’s cause.
