60. Shadows Mara The days after Zander’s texts felt like walking on cracked glass. Every notification on my phone made my heart jump. Every shadow on the street sent my pulse racing. I had told myself I could handle the loneliness, still fighting, still loving me, made the separation even harder. I barely left the new apartment where my brother and I now lived.
