A Sight

138 Words
I sit in the valley The wind blows my hair. The sun is brightly shining It's rays flowers share. The sun then goes down It's the dark that I fear. I hear a strange howl And see glowing eyes stare. I start to feel panicked I know not what to do. I run towards a light While mud steals my shoe. I keep on running Despite my sudden loss. Eventually I stumble Into some thick moss. I scratch and I claw Until I get through. Where I see a small house It's windows are few. I feel overwhelmed Not from fright. As I am quite happy And surely a sight. When my parents moved us to a house located in the middle of nowhere, I used to fear I would get lost walking through the dense forest.  After seeing a wolf while my parents drove down the gravel road to get to our house, I decided to write this poem for fun.
