Be Mine

You are so sweet

You are so kind

Sometimes however

You are so blind

I've liked you for awhile

But it did not show

Though since that time

I've been hit by cupid's bow

Now you are in there

And I am out here

It'll be a little while

Before you reappear

Time goes by slow

Feelings grow fast

It shouldn't be long

For the time to pass

I hope to be with you

For a long time

That's why I'm asking

If you'll be mine

I'd like to hold you

And lay by your side

Let my feelings always show

Never let them hide

I would like to love you

For as long as I can

So what do you say

About being my man

I wrote this poem on the first Valentines Day I spent with my husband.  Our relationship was still new, but I knew right away, that he was the one for me. :)
