As I scrolled through the review and complaints from the employees, my heart sank. The late Alpha's companies were struggling, and it was clear that his absence had taken a toll. I remembered how he would often sacrifice his duties in the pack to attend to his businesses, always striving to improve and expand them.
Now that he was gone, it was up to me to ensure that his legacy continued to thrive. I looked up from the report, my eyes meeting Sir Robert's. "Sit, Sir Robert, sit," I gestured, and he took a seat.
I wanted to speak, but I noticed that Alpha Clifford had been uncharacteristically silent throughout the meeting. As someone who was closer to the late Alpha than I was, his opinion carried significant weight.
