I rushed to the window, pulling back the curtains to see what was happening. The villagers were gathered at the gate, their faces etched with worry and fear.
"What's going on?" I muttered to myself, my mind racing with possibilities.
Just then, my phone buzzed with an incoming text from Shadow. "Master, I'm on my way. But I have some information that might interest you."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What is it?" I typed back.
"The villagers are being attacked by vampires," Shadow replied. "It's like they're trying to distract us from something."
My eyes narrowed, my mind racing with possibilities. This was getting more complicated by the minute.
