HE BLAMES CONSTABLE KEITH STUART, his father figure at work.
Finally, after much urging from Keith, and having been given a slight push from behind by fellow constables Sam and James earlier in the week, he finds the courage to ask Pippa out. That day he thinks he overreached because she says, after all it has taken to find the courage, ‘I don’t date cops.’
Ouch!
But the instant she says it, Pippa feels a pang of regret.
Now, she kicks herself mentally every time she bumps into him, which is way too often.
She has been in-like with him from the first she laid eyes on him. She remembers it clearly: her eyes watered, her heart thudded, her knees weakened the minute he turned the corner into HQ lobby.
