FOR THEIR FIRST ANNIVERSARY, Joshua booked them a weekend in a cottage off the beaten track somewhere in the Blue Mountains, a couple of hours’ drive from Alexandria.
It is a familiar place to him since he spent weekends there in the past. For him, it is a place to restock and to meditate on his life.
They arrive while it is still day, with enough sunlight to enjoy the great outdoors. They walk hand in hand and wonder why they didn’t do this earlier.
