* * * * Marren didn’t know what time it was but the white glowing Alaskan blackness was really freaking her out. It was like black light and her eyes couldn’t adjust to see anything properly. If it had not been for the dim light of the fire inside she wouldn’t have even known Shane was sitting one step above and next to her. Once in a while she heard him take a swig from his bottle or light a cigarette and inhale it deeply. However long it was that she had been out here, she spent it drifting back to her time recovering.
