“I know,” she says. “So how goes it on the outside?” I ask, turning to face her. She shrugs. “It’s boring. I never thought I’d be ready for summer to be over, but if it means you will be set free, then I’m all for it.” I smile at her. I know exactly what she means; only I’m not ready for school.
