Chapter 29 It’s Sunday, two days since Carter and his cronies destroyed Trey’s truck and humiliated me with my own words. I haven’t seen Trey. He’s been working, but he’s called and checked on me several times. Each time he called, I had to bite my tongue to keep from crying or begging him to never leave me.
