Emelest Empire

Damien was sitting on his father's throne, the old man hasn't been in the best health ever since Elidi attacked him. His health quickly deteriorated in the last few years so Damien took care of the Empire more or less as his father's right hand. The doors opened wide and Lord Oscar walked in. He kneeled in front of the Throne.

- Your Highness, I'm afraid I couldn't bring satisfying news this time either. The search party found her maid, but..

- But What? - Damien's hands gripped the armrest of the throne. His impatience grew from second to second.

- We found the party dead this morning your Highness.

- All of them? - Damien tried to stay composed but the veins on his forehead became more visible.

- All of them. They were burned alive your Highness.

- So she is still alive and full of power... Any clues where she could be? - Lord Oscar shook his head.

- DAMN IT! - Damien jumped uo from the throne and started to walk up and down. The old Emperor wanted to find Elidi to use her to save him, Damien wanted to kill his sister so he could be the Emperor. It would be easier to get rid of his bedridden father, but as long as thay witch is alive she means constant danger to his position.

- I have no time to waste! I'll have to depart tomorrow to the Struabus Empire if I want to arrive to the Spring ball. I thought I had competent knights but I'm afraid I was wrong. A whole Empire cannot find a single person?! - he raised his voice and screamed at Lord Oscar.

- A person who looks like a f*****g stray cat?! - Lord Oscar lofted his glance to look into the eyes of Damien. He looked so pathetic and weak...

- Your Highness, many people are probably backing her right now. - Damien grinned and sat back.

- Spread the word in the Empire, who helps or hides her will be executed with their whole family. Whoever brings that witch to me alive, will get a piece of land and title apart from the bounty.

- Yes your Highness! - Lord Oscar said and walked out. He closed the doors behind him and sighed.

- My lady I hope you are far away from here... - he whispered before he did what he was ordered to do. Meanwhile Damien rubbed his temples sitting on the throne.

- If I cannot kill her... I'll marry her off. Without a tongue she won't be able to cast her spells!

The news spread in the Emelest Empire as wildfire and the literal witch hunt begun.

Struabus Empire

The dinner started strangely late that night and the atmosphere was quiet chilly. Emperor Johnathan and the Empress checked out the sudden visitor with sceptical eyes. While their younger son kept stealing glances at her, their daughter chatted with the young knight and Sébastien simply looked sick. Johnathan turned to his oldest son.

- Sébastien, why are you looking like you are about to fall from your chair? - Sébastien coughed almost drowning in a spoonful of soup before he could answer.

- I don't know what you mean father, I'm more than fine! - Johnathan rolled his eyes and the Empress, Sasha, turned to Elidi. She had her disguise on.

- So, miss...

-Pearson, your Highness, my name is Kaitlyn Pearson. - when Annalise heard that name she started coughing again.

- Is the soup salty or something that all of my children tries to drown in it? - Johnathan asked with a lottle impatience.

- Sorry daddy! - Annalise looked at her father with huge, puppy eyes. Johnathan let the question go, his little Princess always won against him. Sasha continued.

- Miss Pearson, could you tell us how you met our son and what is the purpose of your unannounced visit? - Emmett shoot and annoyed glance at their mother but Sasha was a though cookie. She could have never been swayed by their children's cuteness or tricks. Elidi wiped her mouth like royalty and placed the napkin gracefully on her lap.

- I'm really sorry that I've arrived unannounced your Highness! Please excuse me my rudeness. I met the Second Prince on my way to your Empire. This is the first time I've came to attend the ball, but we have been attacked on our way. My knights and guards were all killed. - Elidi had crocodile tears in her eyes and they shined like two gems. If the boys didn't know the truth they would have believed every word she said.

- The Prince saved me and they escorted us back. I cannot be thankful enough for his kindness.

- Why is this the first time that you are attending? Aren't you a little old for a debut in high society? - Johnathan asked harshly and Sasha elbowed him in his side.

- Excuse me for his impolite question Lady Pearson. - Elidi blushed and started to ask for pardon.

- Please don't your Highness! His Highness is right, I'm not in the age of debut. The truth of, that I always loved to study and improve myself. That's the reason I spent my last few years studying abroad and for my parents biggest sorrow, I'm still unmarried. Sending me to the ball was their intention to marry me off. - Emmett stared at her with eyes wide open. She just rushed out of his room after a hot moment and now she created a whole new personality like it was nothing.

- Well, please enjoy your stay in our castle and I wish you good luck Lady Pearson. - Sasha said.

- Thank you, your Highness.

- My brother is also unmarried. - Annalise said and the fork fall from Emmett's hand. The Emperor laughed and the Empress scolded Lizzy.

- My child! - Lizzy grinned and her glance jumped between the blushing Elidi and Emmett.

- I just stated a fact mother. - she said playfully and Sébastien started to laugh uncontrollably.

- How many time have I told you to stop doing this at dinner? - Johnathan asked and Sébastien wiped off his tears.

- Sorry! I cannot help it! All of your thoughts are screaming too loud and this is just hilarious!

- What is so funny about them? - Elidi asked and Sebby leaned closer to her with a huge, mischievous smile.
