After the weir dinner Elidi excused herself and rushed out with Emmett in her heels. Johnathan and Sasha looked at their children and Conrad waiting for an explanation. Obviously all three stayed silent, until Johnathan sighed and decided to attack the weakest of the three.

- Sébastien, what was all this about? - Sebby scoffed.

- Really father? Do you really consider me the weakest willed one out of the three of us? - he asked and motioned at himself, Conrad and Lizzy. Sasha laughed.

- Sweety, Lise can wrap your father around her fingers, Conrad is afraid of Emmett's punishment, sorry. - Sébastien shook his head in disbelief and Maya chuckled.

-I'm sorry your Highness for the interruption, but may I save these youngsters? - Johnathan nodded and Maya whispered.

- Kids, run! - Conrad, Sebby and Lizzy hurried out as fast as they could.

- I can't believe them! They act like kids! - Johnathan sighed and Sasha caressed his arm.

- I'm happy that they can be kids around us my love. The world is cruel enough, their duties and obligations are heavy, let them be kids when there is only us. - Johnathan kissed Sasha's face and smiled sweetly at his gorgeous and wise wife before he turned his attention back to Maya.

- So, what was all this about? - Maya grinned.

- The journey was long your Highness, on a long journey, feelings might awake. - Sasha gasped.

- Are you insisting that those two? - Sasha asked in a slightly excited voice.

- Definitely. Excuse me for the choice of words, but the Prince was in my Lady's heels like a puppy.

- What about your lady? - Johnathan asked. Maya sighed.

- She hadn't got an easy life your Highness. My lady, she is wary of letting people close to her in fear of loosing them. But, I think she isn't uninterested either. - Sasha smiled and it was Jonathan's turn to sigh in relief.

- Thanks God, we thought that stubborn son of ours might die alone! - Maya chuckled and Sasha said.

- After those wars, I was terrified that something might break in him. That we will lose what makes him, Emmett. But fortunately, he came home only slightly affected. - This time really is different... - Maya thought. When they finished their conversation Maya walked around the corridors until she spotted Conrad, Annalise and Sébastien looking down from one of the balconies.

-What are you doing here? - she asked and Sébastien waved to her with a huge cheeky smile.

- Maya! Come, you must see this! - Maya joined them and she couldn't believe her eyes.

- How long have they been there? - she asked and Lise chuckled.

- I think they started little after they left.

- I don't know for which one should I feel sympathy. - Conrad said and Maya watched the duel of Elidi and Emmett. They moved fast and both of them were already covered in sweat. Suddenly the sword flew from Emmett's hand. Elidi stopped and she said something to him. Emmett shook his head and started to run. Elidi threw her sword to the ground and chased after him. The little group followed them from afar along the corridors. They halt when they spotted both of them laying on the ground with Emmett pinned down.

- Whatever they tried to decide, I think Elidi won. - Conrad said and the Prince and Princess shared a warm smile. Maya looked at them with her eyebrow slightly raised.

- We have seen this scene before and it bring back so many memories. - Sebby said and Lise's voice broke when she said.

- We cannot even call them memories... Those things never happened. - Conrad put his coat around Lise's shoulders and said in a soft voice.

- Anna, technically, they happened.

- But that world have been destroyed, we all... Died.- she said and shivered. Conrad hugged her from her right and caressed gently her shoulder.

- In that reality we did, but this one is ours again. A new chance to do things right.

- This time is definitely different young Master. - Maya added and she briefly explained.

- Emmett never experienced the darkness in this life.

- He doesn't got abilities either. - Sebby added.
