The plan was simple and I was sure it would work. All we had to do was gauge his reactions to the carefully worded questions I was going to ask. And in case my opinion was biased, both Dev and Melissa would also be close when I asked and would listen and watch closely. When we informed Devon of the plan, he was happy that we were giving more consideration to his theory but not very confident in the plan's success. He was of the opinion that Xavier would just lie his way out of it but I assured him that either one of us would notice if he lied. No one was that good a liar. He was still sceptical but he decided to go with the plan.
