Lila’s POV
The air feels thick—almost too heavy to breathe. Neither Lior nor I move. His body is rigid beside mine, his gaze fixed on the figure emerging from the shadows. For a second, I think I’m imagining it. But then I see the outline—the sharp, unmistakable frame of Liam.
Before I can process what’s happening, he’s already storming forward. His hand grabs Lior by the collar, yanking him hard. A sickening c***k follows as his fist slams across Lior’s face.
“Lior!” The scream rips out of me, raw and trembling. My eyes go wide as I stumble back, hands half-raised, my heart hammering so loud it fills my ears.
Liam’s voice follows, low and shaking with fury. “How dare you!” he growls, shoving Lior against the wall. “How dare you try to seduce my wife! You have no right to touch her!”
