Claudia’s POV If Liam thinks he can just brush me aside, return to that gutter rat of a wife, then he’s joking. Completely joking. I refuse to be the woman who lets that happen. I shove open the front door of his house with all the force I can muster. The door slams against the wall with a deafening crash that echoes like a gunshot through the quiet house. My heart hammers in my chest, but the thrill of taking control surges through me. Liam and Lila both turn instantly, their faces stiff with shock, their eyes locking onto mine in an unspoken clash of tension. I feel the familiar voice of Aurelia flash in my mind, sharp and commanding: Then find a way to get back with Liam and do away with Lila for good. I scream inwardly, furious. That sly woman! She’s left me to deal with this mess
