Lior’s POV The night air still carries the echo of Liam’s voice long after he’s gone. Lila stands beside me, watching as he disappears into the dark. Her eyes stay fixed on his back until he’s completely gone from view. I can still feel the sting in my jaw, but it’s nothing compared to the ache in my chest. I don’t ask if she’s okay—I already know she isn’t. There’s nothing words could do right now. So I reach for her wrist gently. “Let’s go,” I say quietly.
