Hawk’s POV.
My emotions are going wild. Today has been such a roller coaster and now to find out Derry had rejected me, rejected my wolf, well, that was just the icing on top of the s**t cake. I understand why it had to happen, but it doesn't mean I have to accept it. I'm furious. The council will pay for this. But now I stand here, feeling the presence of my wolf beside me, I have a moment of peace. This gives me enough state of mind to realise I was a d**k to Derry, she's the last person that deserves my wrath, she is just as much a victim in this as I am. Every action she has taken has been to protect me, and I've repaid her in anger. When she shifts back to her human form in front of me, I'm filled with pride.
