Hawk’s POV. There are tearful goodbyes and wishes of good luck and gratitude as Clayton takes the first group of evacuees to the cave. Most of the children are excited, they're all talking about going camping and all the fun they'll have. Which makes me smile. I'm happy they don't fully understand what is happening, and they're not scared. Some families are packing up their belongings in vehicles, choosing to go travelling for a few weeks rather than stay with the pack. I watch as a redheaded toddler is wrestled into the car by her mother. She is screaming for her baby and her father is desperately rummaging through their belongings.
