Hawk’s POV.
Derry drops me, Oakley and Joey at Doranna’s cottage and goes back for Stone and Mickey. Doranna introduces herself to Joey. He's still very shy, but I'm hoping he will become more confident when he gets used to his new life and the new people around him. He was hesitant to leave without Goldie, but I think it's exactly what he needs. He can't hide behind her anymore, it's time for him to come into his own. He's a hybrid now, and he needs to realise his potential. Doranna puts us straight to work, taking Oakley from me and telling us to carry five automatic tennis ball machines out to the field, followed by a few hundred balls.
