Mickey’s POV.
“Hawk is here,” Zev’s words make my stomach churn with anxiety and dread. This is it, the moment that could destroy everything or set us on the path to fix it all. I have to believe Hawk and Derry will forgive me for this and that both of them will come out the other side of this intact.
“Is he alone?” I ask.
“Yes he’s alone, he’s acting weird, he completely ignored me and everyone else, he’s searching for something or someone. He’s injured too. It looks bad, but it doesn’t seem to be slowing him down,” Zev whispers. I glance over at Derry, I suspect she is his first target.
“Where is he exactly?” I ask.
“He’s headed towards the community center, I’m following him at a distance,” Zev says.
“We will meet you there, be ready to help restrain him,” I tell him before end
