Jack started after he had admonished Mandy with a stare; his tea had gone cold. She should not have blown so hard he told her, but let her off, realising she was likely excited at the prospect of a bath with him in his shirt and with his hankie. ‘So, we expected the Banana Boys,’ he said, starting before Mandy could get back at him and maybe nick his hankie, ‘and, we expected them also to come up with a diabolically violent plan to wreak havoc on Mandy and I.
