Lisa
“Cameron do I have to come with you to practice? I don’t want to.” I was whining. I knew I was but that was all that I could seem to get out. My brain was still on over load from holding Chance’s hand earlier. I mean he was so hot and I just about fainted when I started to hold his hand.
“Yes you do because I do not want you in the house by yourself after last night. You have not even talked about it. Or if you do not want to come to my practice then you can go to your dad’s practice and swoon over Chance the whole time.” Cameron was just so blunt and to the point. Cameron was also basically running so that she was not late to her practice.
As we rushed to get to the softball field we passed by the football practice field you could hear the whistle blowing to signal the drills. All I could think of as we rushed by was the fact that Chance was out on that field with possible his shirt off and working his fine ass off. I guess my mind should not go to that but for some reason that is all that my mind can see when I think of him. I mean the boy (excuse MAN) is one fine piece of ass but also has the brains that make a girl swoon.
“LISA! Come on! You have completely stopped. We do not have time to check out the football players.” Cameron started to pull and push me the last few yards to the softball field. “I am coming coach if this tag along will just move her feet a little bit faster!” Cameron screamed out to her coach. Coach Spartan just looked up from her clip board to see what Cameron was even talking about.
“Really Cameron. I am standing right here you do not need to scream at me. Hey Lisa, I need you to take the score book from last game and put the data into the spreadsheet so that I can see all the stats.” Coach Spartan asked me as she handed me the laptop that all the stats were to be entered into.
I walked over to the bench to start enter in the stats as I open the book from the last game the coaches name stared at me and I dropped the book. No please no I can not let this happen right now. The nightmare started just because of a name in a book. A dark fog took over my brain as my eyes rolled back into my head and my body fell to the ground.
“Lisa!!!!!”
I was walking into the store with my mom and my cousin. It was just like any other day but for some reason this day seemed different. Lilly, my cousin, kept trying to get my attention like she really had something she really wanted to tell me but for some reason I could not seem to focus on her. My mom was talking to a man that I had never seen before. I mean I did not know all of my parents friends but this man seemed to be talking very animated to my mom. Mom leaned over and kissed the man on the lips right in front of me and Lilly. Lilly started to pull on my arm when a loud noise could be heard from the front of the store.
“Everyone get down and don’t try anything. We will kill everyone if anyone tries anything.” Three men were waving around guns near the entrance. Next thing I know there is the sounds of shots being fired and my mom is in my arms covered in blood. “MOM!! NO MOM!!!” I cried.
“Lisa wake up honey you have to wake up.” Coach Spartan was shaking my shoulders and Cameron was standing over my waving a towel to try and wake me up.
“Coach Spartan please get my dad.” I was begging as soon I was able to speak. Cameron kept her arms around me as Coach Spartan called my dad to come and get me.
