"Yes, this has been in the works for a while. They’re redoing the entire network of roads and pulling the one-way system. No news there, but take a look at this."
Ted traced his fingers to the sketch of the southern block, "They’re going to be shifting all the perimeter shops north to increase footfall. In effect, the entire southern walkway is to be remodeled. It’ll extend to the car park."
Ted looked up at Willy for a response. He thought he’d find some protest from his employee. Instead, Ted found a strong sense of apathy.
"Do you understand what I’m saying, Willy?"
Willy nodded and folded his arms. He didn’t want to put up a fight. He wanted Ted gone. Willy couldn’t care less about the redesign and impending redundancy - if that’s what Ted was aiming for.
