I watched as Kara and Fenris disappeared into the sea of wolves, all clamoring to get a glimpse of their potential new Alpha. The whole thing made my head spin. Kara, the little pup I'd helped raise, now being hailed as the pack's savior? Life sure has a funny way of throwing curveballs.
"Alright, you mangy mutts!" I barked, trying to get everyone's attention. "Show's over! We've got work to do!"
