Fenris POV
I stared at Alex, my mind reeling. What the hell was he talking about? Kimberly involved in my father's death? It couldn't be true. Could it?
"Fenris?" Kimberly's voice cut through my thoughts. "What's going on here?"
I opened my mouth, but no words came out. What could I even say?
Alex stood there, looking like he wanted to disappear. Can't say I blamed him.
"Well?" Kimberly pressed, her eyes narrowing. "I'm waiting for an explanation."
I took a deep breath. "Kim, I-"
Suddenly, my phone buzzed. Thank the Moon Goddess for small mercies.
"Hold that thought," I muttered, grabbing my phone. "Alpha speaking."
"Alpha!" Beta Mark's voice crackled through. "We've got rogues at the northern border. It's bad."
I felt a mix of relief and dread. "On my way."
