Kara's POV The sun was barely peeking over the horizon when I heard a knock at my door. I groaned, rolling out of bed and stumbling to answer it. Who the heck was up at this ungodly hour? I opened the door to find Alex standing there, looking like he hadn't slept in days. His hair was a mess, his clothes rumpled, and there were dark circles under his eyes. "Alex?" I blinked, trying to shake off the fog of sleep. "What's going on? You look like you've been dragged through a hedge backward." He gave me a weak smile. "Thanks, Kara.
