Kara’s pov My heart pounded in my ears as I raced through the chaos, Fenris close behind me. King's howl echoed i n my mind, filled with so much pain it made my chest ache. "Zala!" I shouted, my voice hoarse from the smoke and fear. "Zala, where are you?" No answer. Just the sounds of fighting, of pain, of fear. "We need to split up," I said, turning to Fenris.
