“Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere.” ― Mae West

I was stupid. I was an absolute i***t.
That was all I could think of right now. I handed the phone wordlessly to Ezra, and walked to my tent. We had tents. We all slept in our own tents and used the big cottage for everything else.
When I closed the zipper, I knew nobody would bother me. It was our own sign that said do not disturb.
I sat in the dark, thinking about everything that had happened tonight. It felt like months, but it was only a f*cking day. A DAY!
I wondered what Mateo would be doing right now. I sighed and closed my eyes.
"You can ask for his help. He will help you, you know..."
She was right. He would help me, but...
I didn't know when I fell asleep, but when I woke up to the loud voices coming from outside my tent, I was curious as to what the ruckus was about. I quickly pulled on a jacket over my shirt and walked out of the tent to see everyone standing there, whispering something.
"What is going on, guys? What are you doing? It is too early for this," I said with a frown. My head was pounding, and I had never been a morning person, especially not on a day like today!
"It is not too early, it is eight in the morning, Vee," my brother said to me as he walked towards me. He was clutching something in his hand, and his face was stuck in this weird state between shock and surprise and excitement. Yes, it was excitement. I had never seen Owen excited. He was usually a very stoic person. Forcing to live without your parents could do that to you.
"Okay? Why are your eyes twinkling? The last time I saw you this excited was when you found your mate," I said as I wrapped my arm around his shoulder and he grinned at me.
"Well... it is this," he handed me a black envelope, which looked like it was made of black silk. I pulled out a luxurious card from inside the envelope and gasped when I saw the silver words elegantly printed on the card. "What the hell is he playing?" I mumbled to myself as I read it once again.
You are invited to the third day of the Dragon ball by the Royal family.
He sent me a damn invitation? Welcoming me into his home?
I totally didn't trust this thing. Maybe it was a fake invite and the guards would grab me as soon as I showed them this. I was thinking of all these scenarios in my head when I finally noticed I wasn't the only one holding the invite.
Everyone was holding one of those lavish envelopes in their hands.
"Can we go?" Faye fluttered her eyes at me, and I didn't want to sound like a b***h by saying no, but I didn't trust the prince, not one bit.
"Well, it is tomorrow, right? We will see," I whispered as I stared at the black envelope like it was a two-headed serpent. I had a feeling that it would bite me in the ass, but how was I going to destroy all those twinkling eyes looking at me earnestly? He had crossed a freaking line, and he was going to get punished.
"What if his intentions are pure?"
"I don't trust that!"
"Why can't you, Vera?"
"Everyone has an ultimate goal. No one is-"
Nova rolled her eyes and scoffed. "You don't trust anyone, because you are always like that with everyone other than your friends. That is why you don't trust anyone can be freely accepting, and honest. What if he really wants you there?"
"Since you met him, you always take his side. You are my dragon! Not his!"
I knew I sounded childish and churlish, but I couldn't help it. Mateo Storm just pushed all the wrong buttons.
Everyone walked inside except Faye. She came to me, and looked at me as if she wanted to see what I was hiding, and it wouldn't take much time for her to find out, because she understood me more than I understood myself. Sometimes. That was what having a best friend meant. It was obviously not always a plus, though.
"What are you not telling me, Vee? I have a feeling that there is more going on between you and the prince. I mean, he came all the way to track you down, and left just like that? Something smells fishy."
I scoffed.
"Don't scoff, young lady."
"Yes, grandma, as you say," I said with a sarcastic frown.
"Now I absolutely know you are hiding something. You always switch back to sarcasm and eye rolls. Out with it, Vera."
"It is nothing. I need to get ready. I have to go meet a prince about what the f*ck he was doing?"
"You are going to the palace? Right now? To ask him about this?" She waved the envelope at my face. I shrugged. "Are you insane, Vee?"
I think I am insane. I have always been a little bit on the insane side.
"Don't tell Ezra about this, okay?"
Faye sighed and shook her head. She looked worried as she took my hand in hers and squeezed. "I don't know what is going on with you, Vee, but I just hope you won't get in trouble, and just know that I am always here for you. When you want to talk, just come to me!"
"I won't get into trouble. Don't worry. And I will tell you everything soon, Faye. I just need time to process all of this craziness myself," I said to her and walked to the lake deep inside the woods, where we usually took our baths.
I stripped to my underwear and stepped inside the cold lake, thinking about the damn prince.
I would rip his eyes off if he did something to hurt my friends and family.
I closed my eyes as the cold water embraced my body. And sighed.
"I am going to kill you, Mateo."

(Mateo)
Vera. The woman was made to torture even a saint.
I wasn't a pervert, but... I couldn't look away. I was trapped. Her body was curvy and tantalizing, and my skin burned. I wanted to strip and join her. She looked like she was enjoying the cold water.
Shade stirred inside, looking enthusiastic and horny to see her like that. My dragon hadn't been quite the same since last night. The mighty beast became a purring kitty cat the moment he met Vera.
"Oh, she looks so damn beautiful. Like hell and heaven," Shade growled softly. His eyes were bright, and he was buzzing. I could almost feel how aroused he was, just looking at her.
I breathed softly, trying to capture her scent. She looked delicious and wet. Oh. So. Wet. Her black hair was stuck to her face and there were water droplets glistening on her back. I wanted to lap up every single drop of water on her naked skin, until we were both satisfied and screaming.
Everything was so peaceful around me, except the thundering of my heart. The soft sound of water swishing around her naked skin... for a second, I felt jealous of the damn water.
The stupidity of that feeling wasn't lost on me.
This was pure madness. I mean, jealous of the damn lake? What kind of insane person would feel like that?
I wanted to be the water around her. Gently embracing her curves. Her perky breasts. My c*ck stirred.
She was floating gracefully, her head tilted towards the sun, her eyes closed. A happy smile was on her lips. She was so graceful, she looked like she was dancing.
Her every stroke was so gracious. The golden sunlight streaked past the ruby-red trees and reflected against her skin, her dark hair, and slid down her beautiful breasts. The sizzle in my blood was loud, and my body was screaming for her. I wanted to touch her, or I would simply explode from all this pent-up tension inside me.
But... oh, yes, let's not forget what she told me last night.
She looked exquisite, like a picturesque painting. I wanted this painting in my room.
"You would be aroused 24X7, if this was in your room. You won't get anything done!"
"Maybe I want to do her. Only her. Wait, I sound like an asshole, which I am not!"
She twisted around and then pulled up over the water, showing taunting glimpses of her body. Her bra had gone translucent and her n*pples were visible. Every nerve in my body buzzed, and lust rippled inside my body, inside my blood, calling out to her. Chanting. It was something I couldn't stop.
Her hair, wet with water, limp, still looked luscious. I could feel the silky smoothness slipping through my fingers, when I grabbed her hair and...
"Why are you torturing yourself and me?"
"Well," I cleared my throat.
Her body tightened. My body tightened along with hers. Damn. This was getting beyond complicated. For someone who hated complications and messes all my life, I had been getting into a lot of trouble since Vera.
She looked up and her eyes widened as she looked at me. Her whole body went red. I didn't know she could flush like this. She looked delicious.
"Look who we have here..."
"What the f**k are you doing here?"she hissed. Her eyes were burning bright and her plump lips were pressed together in irritation. I wanted to press my lips against those puckered lips. "I am going to kill you."
My c*ck tightened further. I didn't know why I felt so damn aroused when she was around me. It wasn't just the mate bond. It was more. She was like a truly addictive drug. With her smart mouth and sassiness...
"What? Kill me? Do you mean... kiss me?!" he smirked and she growled under her breath and the sound did something to my body.
"Kiss you? I don't want to kiss you!"
"You are lying, Vera."
"Why the hell did you send invitations to all of us? Is this some kind of a trick? What is your game, you royal asshole?"
I knew she was talking, and she looked absolutely angry... but...
I wanted to drag her wet body to me, slick and wet, and I wanted to grab her curvy hips and I wanted to slide my body.... deliciously against her wet one.
"No trick, Vera. None at all."
I took a step closer and she wildly looked around, looking for a way to escape. Well, hello, I liked it this way, when I had the upper hand. Usually, she was the one who had every power over me.
"She still has..." Shade said.
"Yes, but she doesn't know it."
I smirked as I bent down and grabbed her clothes, and oh, they smelled delicious. Mouthwatering. I want to bury my face in her scent. But that would make me look crazier than I already was.
"What the hell are you doing? Put my clothes down, you crazy psycho, and get the hell out of here," she growled.
"Well, I like it when you are not wearing anything. How about you get rid of that transparent bra you are wearing? I can see everything anyway."
"I am going to kill you, you stupid prince."
