HER DEVIL

'' HAPPY BEFORE HURT! ''

ANIYAH POV:

Finally, the holidays were finished. No matter how much I enjoy them. On the other hand, I still want to get back to my studies on time. My friends call me weird sometimes as well. But we all need change and vacations are supposed to be for less time, aren’t they?

‘’Now you all leave for your designated classrooms. Enjoy and study.’’ Our headmaster said while following her words we walked to our classrooms silently keeping the discipline maintained.

‘’Can you believe every time he says he will take only minutes and end up eating an hour,’’ Elsa whined like always. She hates attending assembly but for my sake she still attends it. I am blessed to have a bestie like her.  

‘’Come one, we all were sitting and he was standing talking about our welfare,’’ I said trying to make her know his efforts as well.

‘’Our welfare or his funds.’’ She said with one eyebrow raised.

‘’I can’t change your mind. I surrender.’’ I said telling her that she wins like always.

‘’I want something to change this year.’’ She said taking the seat in front of me.

‘’’ Like?’’ I asked to know which type of crazy ideas she was having for now.

‘’Like…’’ she was speaking when our homeroom teacher entered.

‘’good morning dear students. Hope you all enjoyed it a lot and now please take your seats.’’ She said smiling giving her greeting to us.

‘’Seeing you all with fresh faces I can tell you all must have enjoyed your vacations and had a great time.’’ She said in her old gold happy mood.

‘’We had a good time but it was s short,’’ Elsa spoke in response.

‘’Oh dear, that is a sad thing. But would you like to share your experience with us?’’ Mam asked her in response.

‘’I went to the beach with my bestie Aniyah and her family. We had a great time together.’’ She spoke excitedly.

‘’Really, what about you Aniyah? Did you enjoyed it too?’’ She asked me in middle.

‘’Yes. I had a great time. The best time.’’ Excluding the weird time. I spoke to her.

She was about to speak something when one of the admin people knocked on the door giving her a message with his eyes.

‘’Okay, all things aside we have a new class fellow who would be joining us. And please be nicer to watch others.’’ She spoke while at the end of her talk, a boy of the same age entered.

He had dark chocolate hairs, with sea-green eyes. He was cute and handsome at the same time. I could feel the envy in all other boys of class and drools of female class fellows.

‘’Hey handsome, mind introducing yourself here with everyone else,’’ Mam spoke smiling to him.

‘’Hi, I am Dusan. I moved from Egypt to here a few days ago with my parents. And that’s all.’’ He spoke with a stern face.

‘’Whoo!’’ Some of the backbenchers shouted in excitement.

‘’Well please take a state Dusan. The seat next to Aniyah is empty. She is the CR as well. You can seek her help.’’ She said while he looked towards me. Our eyes met and I felt a weird feeling.

He took steps towards me and n seconds sat beside me.

‘’Now let’s start us….’’ Mam started our science lecture.

‘’Mind sharing your book with me.’’ He spoke and this time with a smile.

‘’Yeah sure,’’ I said feeling my cheeks burning and t hide the happiness on my face I looked at the book as fast as I could.

After that, I got busy attending the lecture completely. Time passed b like usual. I found this book interesting like others from before.

‘’Will you give me a tour?’’ he asked me while I was packing my bag.

Our next period was free so I thoughts I will be good as he asked me.

‘’I have something to pick from the staffroom. You meet me in next period.’’ Elsa said packing her things fast and marched out in hurry.

‘’She is like that,’’ I said looking at her and smiled seeing his blank expressions which soon changed into a small smile. The dimple on his cheek looks so good when he smiles.

‘’This is our lab area,’’ I said taking him to the first floor and before leaving this building.

‘’And on the 2nd floor is our inside refreshment point while there is the open cafeteria at the left end of the ground,’’ I said telling him more about the place.

All he did was nodding in response or give a very tiny smile.

‘’This is our basketball ground and behind is football ground,’’ I said walking to the building in front.

‘’And this is our indoor playing zone. There are three swimming pools and a wrestling arena as well.’’ I said almost telling him about our whole place.

‘’Wait.’’ He said finally and took a step closer to me.

He placed his hand on my head and touched m hairs,

‘’This leaf came on your hairs.’’ He said taking it off.

‘’Must came from the basketball ground side trees,’’ I said smiling in response.

‘’Do you know something?’’ He asked.

‘’What?’’ I asked to know what he was speaking off.

‘’Your smile is so cute.’’ He said and the simple appeared again on his cheek indicating he was once again smiling.

‘’Thank you,’’ I said smiling or more like giggling in response.

But suddenly I felt a cold shiver throw-out my whole body. Looking around to see if something was making me like this.

‘’What are you looking for?’’ he asked me.

‘’Nothing,’’ I said and marched towards our next class as it was time but the feeling wasn’t leaving me. Something was eating me.
