'' AWARD AND REWARD! ''

ANIYAH POV:

After falling from the stairs that miserably I was taking each step later own with much more care. I was in no mood to mess up anymore.

Our final ceremony function was going smoothly with the great performances of everyone. It was so interesting to see everyone perform their heart out. Their families supporting them in the crowd. But like me, many student’s parents weren’t present there but we all understood that more than presence their support matters and I can feel their support with me anytime and anywhere.

Finally, the curriculum awards were starting to be announced. Further, the names of position holders were announced, more my heart dropped. I know being there is not that easy but I want to be the best because I tried my best in exams.

It was the last and top position in or whole school left to be announced. And I knew I wasn’t on the list this year. Because I don’t perform that well to be one of the best.

All of my thoughts stopped in the middle when I heard my name on stage. I didn’t respond at first but when it was called again. I just walked to the stage without knowing what was happening to me.

Only by taking the shield and medal in my neck. I knew that I won it.

‘’I am really happy to get such a great award on this day. And I will especially like to thanks my dear teachers for helping us throughout the year and giving us the knowledge to rise in society one level more. thank you, everyone.’’ I said the things I was feeling at the moment. But something out of usual happened.

I felt fire on my body. Like someone was looking at me very badly. Looking in the crowd slowly to find the reason for this feeling. I saw those scary eyes. He was staring at me. no, more like glaring at me. looking at the seat he was one of the most important persons in the function today.

The way he looked at me gave me a cold sweat. Is he having some problem with me? must be because I messed up falling on him. But it was only an accident. He doesn’t have to take it that offensive.

I couldn’t stand his glare anymore and ignore as much as I could. The feelings didn’t vanish. But I had the power to stand there. After speaking my words, I went backstage with my bestie.

We took selfies and enjoyed the rest of the function together. Finally, the day came to an end and I was close to meeting my family. I can’t wait to give such big news to everyone. This is one of the best days of my life.

I closed the shield and medal in my bag and went to my dad's car straight. I faked my annoyed face the whole ride and we reached home real fast. I went and sat in our launch where my brother and mother were already sitting.

I dint gave greeting to them like I usually do. They were looking at me with attention. It was becoming hard for me to control my smile anymore.

‘’Did you said something to her?’’ mom asked dad.

‘’When was the moment I ever said a single thing to my princess.’’ Dad answered in a soft tone telling mom that he was purely innocent.

‘’Aniyah my lovely daughter. Did something happen? Why do you have a long face today?’’ mom asked grabbing my hand with care in her eyes.

‘’My bag. It's broken. You know it’s my favourite.’’ I said lying. Biting my tongue to control my laugh which was before in light smile only.

‘’Really? let me look at it.’’ Mom said grabbing the bag and started looking at it.

‘’It looks fine. Where was it broke from?’’ Mom asked still trying to find where it broke from. She stopped after opening the zip and looking inside it. Taking out the shield, medal and my certificate thereof they looked at it together.

‘’Aniyah! You evil thing.’’ Mom said squeezing me in a hug. I felt warm in her hold.

‘’Congratulations! princess.’’ Dad said patting my head.

‘’Ms trouble maker. Tell me which technique you used to cheat through the papers and ended up getting such a reward.’’ Bro said teasing me.

‘’Don’t say that. We all know our Aniyah is a very good girl. She never breaks the rules.’’ Dad said taking my side even before I spoke anything in my name.

‘’Yes. You should congratulate her instead of teasing her like that.’’ Mom said this time making me even happier

‘’Well, that’s a thing to be noticed. As it is her birthday today and she somehow managed to get through this year God knows how…...’’ he said while I threw the pillow on him before he spoke his words completely.

‘’OK. Ok. I won’t tease you anymore. I was saying we should arrange a little party for our trouble maker as it’s a big day for her.’’ he said finally something good to hear.

‘’That’s good. What do you say princess?’’ Dad asked me.

‘’We usually hold a party every year. I want something different this year.’’ I said in response. Saying what I wanted.

‘’And what difference you want this year?’’ Mom asked me taking my hand.

‘’Let’s go somewhere nice. For a two-day trip as its weekend and you, all will be free. And I want to take my friend with me.’’ I said demanding their time with me. because I want to be with them instead of people showing off and giving me expenses gifts.

‘’Not a bad idea. As you want it. We will do that for you. Inform your friend to come to our house. We will leave tomorrow.’’ Dad said excitedly.

‘’Leave for where and for how long?’’ I asked so that I can tell Elsa about our plans.

‘’Well, that will be a surprise. And we will personally take Your friend with us.’’ He said and got up to leave as he had some left over work to complete.

‘’Okay. I will tell her.’’ I said in response and he left.

‘’Go fresh up and have lunch. After that, I will hear about today’s happening and rest early today as you will have to wake up early as you know your dad always likes to leave for trips before the suns do.’’ Mom said telling me of things I needed to do.

‘’Yes, mam.’’ I said playfully and left to do. The rest of the day just went exactly according to like mom said.

It was night and I decided to tell Elsa about tomorrow's plans.
