Hearing the response, Vandy's eyes darkened with anger. He placed his glass on the glass table with a heavy thud, causing Assistant Shan to shudder.
"So, you made the decision for me?" Vandy asked, his voice low and menacing, his eyes burning with fury.
Realizing the depth of Vandy's anger, Assistant Shan swallowed nervously. "I am sorry, boss," he stammered.
"You're sorry?" Vandy sneered, rising to his feet.
"Dad?" Rex called out from the staircase, looking sleepy and adorable. Vandy's expression softened as he turned to his son.
"Settle things with the Smith family. Leave," Vandy instructed coldly before walking over to Rex. He picked his son up and carried him to a chair, sitting him on his lap. "Why aren't you sleeping?" he asked, gazing at Rex.
