My mouth watered as I took in the platter of food, I couldn't wait to dig in. The maids set the tray on the table next to my bed and left the room, leaving me alone with my meal. I started with the soup, as it was still steaming hot. The broth was rich and flavorful, and it was filled with chunks of vegetables and tender pieces of meat. The warmth of it soothed my soul, and I felt my body relax as I ate.
Next, I moved on to the roasted chicken and vegetables. The chicken was juicy and tender, and it had a crispy golden skin. The vegetables were seasoned with herbs and had a nice crunch them.
