Trevor
I kiss my girls' foreheads before heading out. The sun hasn't risen yet; I'll see the kids in the evening, I'd probably need an appointment to see my wife. Some days I think she's busier than the president!
Yesterday she told me she'd be home by midnight. I waited, but duty calls. All this extra work is robbing her of precious time with the kids. As well as time with me.
We'd make love at least four times a week. It's been five months since I've had a taste of her. Family movie and game nights have disappeared into a dark abyss.
My fifteen year old marriage is falling apart. I feel it. I wonder if Caroline feels it too? I watched an innocent girl blossom into a goddess.
Each pregnancy added curves to her body. Curves I've licked, sucked and relished over the years. I love every inch of that woman. My c**k is twitching just thinking about her thick thighs, her full voluptuous breasts and how I love burying myself inside her.
Every day I leave at 5a.m. I'm starting to feel like a failure. I haven't been able to secure a high paying job so I settled for a job at a warehouse. For a while it kept the bills paid but three elections, inflations, tax increases later, I'm back to square one. I'm tired. I'm so tired of this never ending cycle. Caroline doesn't want me to be stressed as I've been having high blood pressure readings. My father passed recently due to a massive heart attack so I think she's concerned that it's hereditary.
I'm leaving my house at 4a.m. to make my commute to the warehouse. As I'm walking down the stairs my phone lights up...it's my supervisor Deon. "Hey something wrong?" I answered in concern. "No, no" he responded "I'm on your street this morning, you want a lift?"
"Sure thanks, I just have to grab lunch in the kitchen, give me a minute."
I hustled to the kitchen intending to make a quick sandwich. As I opened the fridge my lunch bag is on the top shelf in front of the condiments. I smile knowing she packed it when she got in this morning.
What's not to love about her? She's always thoughtful towards everything.
The honk of Deon's horn was short, piercing the silence of the morning. I grabbed the bag and hurried out to meet him.
"What are you doing in this area?" I asked as I huddled into the front seat of his Toyota Corolla "Oh nothing much...I met this chick at a bar last night and let's just say I had a wild night" he laughed.
“That makes one of us" I retorted.
"Hot wife like yours and nothing? Don't bullshit me, you're probably getting it in every night!"
"She got in late last this morning." "I was already asleep" I can't exactly tell him I've been starving for the last couple months.
"Bro, the bank closes at five o'clock, by the time she's finished she'd leave in half hour give or take. Even if she's working late, it won't take her into the morning."
the look in his eyes gave away what he was going to suggest.
"She's not having an affair!" I said flatly.
"It's not that." I'm ashamed to admit that my wife took on an extra job to meet our obligations. We're in a huge mess financially with her failed business and I partially contributed to that mess by spending unnecessary thousands of dollars on gaming.
The guilt is eating away at me. I'm wondering if she resents me for not supporting her as I should.
"Then something is keeping her busy and it ain't the bank" Deon glanced at me probably feeling pity.
"Trust me she's not a cheater." I looked out the window as the darkness faded away and into the breaking of dawn.
After almost an hour of driving, we arrive at the industrial estate where the warehouse is located. We clock in and head to the loading bays to check the trucks that need to head out today.
I work for a pharmaceutical company. They supply vaccines and medication to clinics and hospitals across the country.
I send a quick text to Caroline "I got to work safely baby. Have a great day."
She'll see it when she checks her phone. I know she's up already prepping the kids for the day. It baffles me how she has the energy to do it all. If I didn't know better I'd say she's an undercover mutant or something. I look at the wallpaper on my phone, it's a picture of us just before all the problems started. There's a loud snap and I hear Deon shout "Look out!"
But it's too late. I'm on the ground, there's a pallet and some boxes on top of me. I see Deon in a blur "Someone call an ambulance!" he shouted as my eyes close into what seemed like an eternal darkness.
