WREN'S POV It started so quietly that I almost didn't notice it happening, the kind of shift that only became visible in hindsight, once enough small moments had stacked themselves into something with a shape. The first sign was the sparring rotation. Bram mentioned it in passing, three days after the elders' meal, some offhand comment about how strange it was that I'd been left off the morning drill roster despite Kade's standing order that I train alongside the pack whenever his own schedule pulled him elsewhere.
