BLOOD PARTY

CHAPTER 01 1ST PERSON POV Loud music thundered through the nightclub as colored lights flashed across the massive hall. Men and women danced wildly without a care in the world, drunk on alcohol, l**t, and temporary happiness to avoid depression. None of them realized death had already stepped into the room. I sat quietly at the far end of the bar, a half-filled glass resting in my hand as my cold gaze swept across the crowd. Beneath the music and laughter, tension lingered in the air like the calm before a storm. At the extreme end of the hall was the VIP section. Makarios, one of the world's most notorious d**g lords, ranked the second, sat comfortably on an exotic red couch. He wore a tailored black suit with a crimson tie, his thick fingers wrapped around a glass of whiskey. Several armed men dressed in black stood around him with sharp, predatory eyes, scanning every movement in the room. A faint smirk appeared beneath my mask. Right on schedule. The entrance doors opened once again, and another group stepped into the club. Cesario. A Mexican mafia boss known for arms dealing and human trafficking. He walked with confidence, dressed in a deep red suit while a cigarette rested lazily between his lips. Six armed escorts followed closely behind him, alongside a beautiful woman carrying a silver briefcase. Now things were getting interesting. I slowly took another sip from my glass before speaking through the communication device hidden in my ear. "Target in position." Static buzzed briefly before a male voice responded. "Wait. Backup is still ten minutes away. Observe until the transaction is complete." I glanced toward the VIP section again. "There's no time for backup," I replied calmly. The voice sighed in annoyance. "Fine. Recover the special-grade launcher and the payment. Eliminate both sides afterward." "Copy that." I stood from the bar stool and adjusted my black gloves before slowly walking toward the VIP section. The transaction had already begun. "So," Makarios said in a thick Russian accent, "do you have my request, Cesario?" Cesario removed the cigarette from his lips and smirked. "I do. What about my payment?" Makarios chuckled before taking a sip from his drink. "I have it. But first, I confirm if product is legitimate." "Fair enough." Cesario gestured toward the woman beside him. She stepped forward and carefully placed the silver briefcase on the glass table. Pulling out a black access card, she slid it through the electronic lock. Click. The case slowly opened. Inside rested a disassembled launcher alongside a strange green rocket glowing faintly like radioactive energy. Even from a distance, I could tell the weapon wasn't ordinary. Makarios grinned widely. "Now this is what I'm talking about." One of his men placed another briefcase on the table and opened it. Bundles of cash. Millions. "Pleasure doing business with you," Cesario said as he reached for the money-filled case. "Likewise." The deal was complete. Which meant my job could finally begin. I pulled my pistol from beneath my coat and aimed. Bang! The gunshot echoed through the nightclub. The bullet pierced directly through Makarios' chest. His eyes widened in shock before his lifeless body collapsed onto the table, whiskey spilling across the floor. For a split second, silence consumed the room. Then chaos erupted. People screamed and ran in every direction as panic spread throughout the club. Cesario's eyes widened as he turned toward me. I stood calmly beneath the flashing lights, my pistol raised while my mask concealed my face completely. Another gunshot rang out. One of Makarios' guards dropped instantly. The others reacted immediately. "Kill him!" Gunfire exploded from every direction. I dashed across the hall, weaving between tables as bullets shattered glass around me. My gaze locked onto Cesario as his men quickly escorted him toward the exit with both briefcases. Not happening. I fired twice more, taking down another pair of guards before sliding behind cover. The nightclub had become a battlefield. Bodies littered the floor while terrified civilians crawled desperately toward the exits. I moved through the chaos like a shadow, eliminating anyone who stood in my path. One guard rushed toward me with an assault rifle. I grabbed his wrist, twisted hard, and snapped his arm before driving a bullet into his skull. Another appeared from the side. Bang. Headshot. Blood splattered across the neon-lit walls. My shoulder suddenly burned. A bullet had grazed me. "Tch." I gritted my teeth and continued forward. Pain was irrelevant during missions. Ahead, Cesario finally reached the staircase leading toward the parking area. I sprinted after him. Two guards stepped into my path and opened fire. I vaulted over the railing as bullets ripped through the metal behind me. My pistol clicked empty the moment I landed. Out of bullets. "Here we go again," I muttered. I pulled a combat blade from behind my waist and took a fighting stance. The first guard charged toward me. I sidestepped his attack before slitting his throat in one clean motion. The second swung wildly. I ducked beneath the strike and drove my blade into his ribs repeatedly until he collapsed. The others hesitated. Fear. Good. I rushed forward before they could regroup. The third guard raised his weapon, but my blade buried itself deep into his neck before he could pull the trigger. Another lunged at me from behind. I spun around and slammed my elbow into his jaw hard enough to c***k bone before stabbing him through the chest. Their bodies dropped one after another. Cesario stumbled backward in horror. "Boss, go!" the woman shouted as she handed him the briefcases. She pulled out two knives and rushed toward me without hesitation. Fast. But not fast enough. She slashed toward my neck repeatedly, her movements sharp and precise. I avoided each strike with minimal movement, carefully reading her rhythm. Professional assassin. Interesting. She aimed for my blind spot, but I caught her wrist mid-attack and drove my fist straight into her face. Crack. Blood burst from her mouth as her jaw shattered. Before she could recover, I kicked her violently across the torso. The force sent her crashing into the wall. I closed the distance instantly and drove my blade deep into her stomach. Her eyes widened before the life slowly faded from them. "Obstacle eliminated," I said coldly. I turned toward Cesario and began walking slowly toward him. His entire body trembled. "W-Who are you?" he stammered fearfully. "Whoever sent you, I'll pay double. Triple even!" I reloaded my pistol while closing the distance between us. "Didn't you hear my code name?" I asked quietly. Fear consumed his face. That reaction told me enough. Good. "My offer still stands," he said desperately. "Name your price!" I stopped directly in front of him. "I expected more from a warlord like you," I said mockingly. "This is disappointing." "Wait—!" Bang! The bullet pierced through his forehead. His body collapsed lifelessly onto the ground beside the briefcases. Mission complete. I pressed my fingers against the comm device in my ear. "The briefcases are secured," I reported. "Though it wasn't exactly easy." "Good work," the male voice replied. "Bring them back to base." "Roger." I grabbed both cases and headed toward the parking lot. ******* The drive back was painfully quiet. My car sped through the narrow road cutting across the middle of the forest while blood continued dripping from my wounded shoulder. Damn. That bullet went deeper than I thought. I tightened one hand against the wound and groaned softly. A few minutes later, massive black gates appeared ahead. Security cameras scanned the vehicle immediately before the gates slowly opened with a metallic groan. A mechanical voice echoed from the speakers above. "Welcome home, Class-A Investigator." I scoffed quietly. Home? This place was nothing more than a hidden facility buried deep within the forest—far away from human civilization. The headquarters of the Investigators. I parked the car and stepped out slowly. A man in a black uniform approached and collected the briefcases from me. "The Commander wants to see you immediately," he said respectfully. "Any idea why?" He shook his head. "None." We walked deeper into the facility until we reached a large metallic door. He inserted a card into the slot. The door slowly opened. Bright white lights illuminated the long passage ahead. After several turns and an elevator ride, we finally arrived at the Commander's office. A tall figure dressed in a black suit stood near the transparent glass window overlooking the facility. His expression firm. "Well done," he said in a deep voice. "You performed exceptionally tonight." "Well, that's thanks to the training I received here," I replied casually as I dropped onto one of the executive chairs. The Commander folded his hands behind his back. "The organization is expanding rapidly. Unfortunately, capable operatives are becoming scarce." I sighed tiredly. "So this means another mission?" "You leave in two days." I frowned immediately. "I literally have a bullet stuck in my shoulder." "Go to the medic." I stared at him blankly. After a brief silence, he finally spoke again. "I'll consider giving you temporary leave. But if no one fills your position, you're taking the assignment regardless." "Fair enough." As I stood to leave, the Commander suddenly tossed a brown envelope toward me. I caught it smoothly. "Your bonus," he said. A small smirk formed beneath my mask. "Thanks, Commander." Without another word, I turned and walked out of the office.
