“This is way past bizarre, girls. Where did you get this super corn?” Randy inquires.
“We got samples from our boss, the Senator. Farmers all across the country are working hard to get this corn in the ground. It goes from seed to bearing corn in about eight days. I swear it,” Karen amuses them with corn facts, climbing up on one of the planters.
Greg raises a brow, asking, “Then why are people going without food if this corn is so fast?”
“Farming and distribution,” Ally steps in. “Growing vegetables like we are is labor intensive. Machines don’t really help so it all has to be done by hand, harvested by hand, then packed up for distribution.”
“We’ve had lectures at work about the super corn,” Tracy offers the explanation of their corn knowledge.
