“Gena, I know your Dad pretty well so I imagine you’ve been in church most of your life. How do you feel?” Drew seeks to include her in family discussion. “Yes, Drew, I was raised in the church. But nobody ever asked me how I feel about God. From the plane ride home until today, I’ve been taking everything in. I’m glad we’re not going to burn up. But I’m like you. I don’t know where this leaves me with God. At least my baby will have the chance to grow up now. And she’s not going to grow up in the church.
