A Spy or a killer?

Dwayne threw a dagger. He saw a silhouette behind Aditi. It was of a female human. Aditi had catched a glimpse of the shadow. She ordered guards to seal the palace. Aditi hugged Dwayne. She was trembled and frightened. She couldn't face another attack.

'Don't worry,' said Dwayne.

'Daughter,' said Mahadev. 'The chief priest is dead.'

'Call Xavier,' said Dwayne. 'He will investigate the reason of death.'

'I have already done the investigation,' said Xavier. 'Chief priest had fallen down from the stairs. She died due to severe brain injuries.'

'Was she pushed?' asked Dwayne.

'There are scratch marks on her body,' said Xavier. 'I think their was a squabble. During that she was pushed down the stairs.'

'Here is your culprit,' said Xander. 'I had sensed a commotion. And then caught this lady. Take out your scarf!!!'

'I didn't kill the chief priest,' said the woman.

'Why were you running?' said Dwayne. 'You are bleeding and that is due to my dagger. Were you spying on Aditi?'

'Yes but I didn't kill the chief priest,' said the woman.

'She won't tell the truth by just questioning,' said Xander.

'Let me interrogate her,' said Jay.

'Wait,' said Xavier. 'Brother Dwayne when did you throw the dagger.'

'Just a few minutes ago,' said Dwayne. 'After I threw the dagger she ran towards southwest exit.'

'But the chief priest's body was found near the northeast entrance,' said Xavier.

'Xander!!!' said Erica. 'Leave her.'

'But mother she was spying on queen Aditi,' said Xander.

'No,' said Erica. 'She was spying on us.'

'What?' said Dwayne. 'And you tell us to leave her.'

'Empress,' said Aditi. 'She is spying in our kingdom. She has to face the sword of Astralayan justice.'

'Margaret!!' said Erica. 'Who told you to spy on me?'

'Señora,' said Margaret. 'I was send by crown prince of Southerland. He ordered me to spy on you.'

'How did he come to know about my presence in Astralaya?' said Erica.

'Señora,' said Margaret. 'My spy network was active in Astralaya. They reported me an revolt of HYPE. Before I could tell king Chevolt about this, the revolt was thwarted.'

'You assumed my presence here in Astralaya,' said Erica. 'And you decided to confirm this physically yourself.'

'Señora,' said Margaret. 'I was told to keep a watch on you.'

'Are you here to keep a watch on me or kill me?' said Erica.

'Señora,' said, bowing Margaret. 'I am your disciple. How could I kill you?'

'The reason is clear,' said Erica. 'Chevolt decided to declare his son Aiden as crown prince of Southerland without my permission. Only I can dismiss him. If I am killed then he can't be removed from his position.'

'How does this concern me,' said Margaret. 'I am crown princess of Genbh and a spy. I am not a professional killer.'

'Margaret!!' said Erica. 'Don't fool me. I know that you married his son Jeremy. You do have a personal motive.'

'Señora,' said Margaret. 'Jeremy is my third husband. And he doesn't even know that I am here spying on you. I swear in the name of eternal goddess that I was here to keep a watch on.'

'Margaret,' said Erica. 'Come here my dear child.'

'Señora,' said Margaret. 'I missed you.....I missed you.'

'You have turned into a great spy,' said Erica. 'I am proud of you my child.'

'I had a great teacher,' said Margaret.

'Can someone explain what is happening?' said Dwayne.

'I am sorry prince Dwayne,' said Margaret.

'Xander!' said Dwayne. 'Bring brother Beckett and Anthony.'

'Here is your culprit,' said Beckett.

'He was running away from the palace,' said Anthony. 'We caught him near northeastern entrance.'

'He was trying escape from the palace,' said Beckett. 'Our rooms were nearby the entrance thus I heard the yelping of the chief priest.'

'I saw brother Beckett running out of his room with his spear,' said Anthony. 'I joined him and enquired about the reason.'

'I told Anthony that someone was trying to escape the palace after killing the chief priest of Astralaya.'

'Beckett!!! Anthony!!!' said Erica. 'He is a hybrid. A rare one. He is a Forg-Mandha hybrid. They have magical powers just like the Forgs. They are used for spying as they had magical powers of Forgs and power of Mandhas. How did you catch him?'

'He was killing the soldiers near the entrance,' said Anthony. 'When he saw us he became invisible.'

'He attacked me in his invisible form,' said Beckett. 'I heard his footsteps and detected him. I made him unconscious with a hit on his head by the back end of my spear.'

'Xavier please make him conscious,' said Aditi.

'I will get the required medicine,' said Xavier.

'It is not easy to catch them,' said Margaret. 'They are extremely intelligent with superhuman strength and magical powers. Too dangerous.'

'Who is this lady?' said Anthony.

'Hola!!' said Margaret. 'My name is Margaret and I am crown princess of Genbh. I was here spying on your mother.'

'What should we do with her?' said Aditi. 'Spying on the empress is a serious offence.'

'Leave her,' said Erica. 'I don't want her to be punished.'

'But mother she was spying on you. She could have given your location to an enemy. They could have hurt you. She could have hurt you.'

'Never in my life I even thought to kill my teacher,' said Margaret. 'I was here to protect her. My spies told me that HYRE was trying to kill empress after she thwarted their plan to capture Astralaya. I therefore came here. Crown prince just told me to keep a watch on you.'

Xavier came into the room with medicines.

'Here I have brought the medicine which will not only make him conscious but also will make him speak truth just like Swarada had done,' said Xavier.

'Xavier!!!!' said Aditi. 'So whatever mother Swarada had said was due to the medicine.'

'Of course,' said Xavier. 'When I understood that she had cheated the Astralayan royal family, I knew it would be difficult to make her speak truth. So, I have her the medicine. Generalissimo Jay you could have asked me for help.'

'I will surely ask for your help next time,' said Jay.

'Directly start asking him questions,' said Xavier.

'Why?' said Jay.

'He is going to die,' said Xavier.

'You can't cure him,' said Aditi.

'No,' said Xavier. 'I don't have enough time to prepare the antidote.'

'How much time do we have,' said Mahadev.

'Ummm...' said Xavier checking his eyes. 'Maybe five minutes.'

'That's too less,' said Dwayne.

'He is opening his eyes,' said Xander.

'Who send you?' said Erica.

'HYRE,' said the hybrid.

'Reason?' said Erica.

'To kill you,' said the hybrid.

'Why did you kill the chief priest?' said Aditi.

'He caught me spying. He threatened me. So, I killed him.'

'How many of you are trying to kill the empress,' said Margaret.

'I don't kno....' said the hybrid.

'Dead,' said Xavier. 'I think he had taken some kind of cyanide compound.'

'That is exactly the answer of my question,' said Margaret.

'I read minds darling,' said Xavier.

'That's great young one,' said Margaret.

'Do I look like a calf?' said Xavier.

'No!' said Margaret.

'Then why do you call me a young one,' said Xavier.

'I am sorry youngster,' said Margaret.

'Thats fine,' said Xavier.

'Now how will we officiate the marriage,' said Mahadev.

'Even you could do it,' said Margaret. 'I hope even Astralaya has the similar rule as Genbh.'

'No,' said Mahadev. 'I could officiate a marriage but not a royal marriage.'

'Excuse me,' said Jay. 'I would need the custody of Margaret.'

'But I...' said Margaret.

'No,' said Erica. 'I as the empress of Sech won't allow it.'

'Sorry,' said Jay. 'But gurumatha you cannot interfere with Astralayan justice. She has to be presented before the sword of justice.'

'I could interfere if its a crown princess of any kingdom,' said Erica. 'Margaret you can leave Astralaya. I will ensure you a safe return to Genbh.'

'Gracias,' said Margaret. 'Please let me stay with you señora. I have met you after 25 years. Please let me stay with you. Please.'

'Okay,' said Erica. 'You could stay with me.'

'Gracias señora,' said Margaret.

'What does the words mean?' said Xavier.

'Gracias means thank you and señora means married woman in our land, Genbh,' said Margaret.

'Well we have to wait for marriage,' said Dwayne. 'I am sorry sweetheart.'

'It is not your fault honey,' said Aditi.

'You both could till marry,' said Erica. 'I as an empress can officiate a royal marriage as the rules of Sech say that any post equivalent or higher than chief priest can officiate a royal wedding.'

'Then why are we waiting for?' said Dwayne.

'Let me check if he is dead or not,' said Xavier. 'Yes, he has died.'

'Guards!!!!' said Jay.

'Jay,' said Aditi. 'Why didn't Aunt Sairendri visit my coronation. She is not even present at my wedding.'

'She has gone to visit my uncle,' said Jay. 'He is on the deathbed. Even I am leaving tomorrow.'

'Can we start the wedding?' said Erica.

'Yes!!!' said Erica happily. 'I can't believe I am getting married to the love of my wife.'

'Both bride and groom are requested to face each other,' said Erica. 'Repeat the vows after me.'

'Yes!!' said Aditi and Dwayne in unison.

'I request the groom to repeat after me,' said Erica.

Erica recited the wedding vow. Dwayne repeated,

'I, Dwayne Charles take thee Aditi Mahadev Shaiva, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part. I, in the name of Supreme Lord plead thee my truth. I swear in the name of the lord that I shall never divorce my holy wife and shall endeavour to keep her physically, mentally and emotionally happy.'

Erica said, 'May supreme lord bless the groom! I request the bride to repeat after me.'

Erica recited the wedding vow. Aditi repeated,

'I, Aditi Mahadev Shaiva take thee Dwayne Charles to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part. I, in the name of Supreme Lord plead thee my truth. I swear in the name of the lord that I shall never divorce my holy husband and shall endeavour to keep him physically, mentally and emotionally happy.'

Erica said, 'May supreme lord bless the bride! I request bride and groom to seal this wedding with exchanging their platinum bracelets.

Aditi said, 'I hereby swear in the name of Rudra that this platinum bracelet with my name inscribed on it will denote my love and affection.'

Dwayne said, 'I hereby swear in the name of Supremo that this platinum bracelet with my name inscribed on it will denote my care and protection.'

Erica said, 'Both of you have declared your consent before the Supreme God. May the Lord in his goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with his blessings. What the Supreme God has joined, humans must not divide. I, officiator of this wedding declare you both as husband and wife.'

'Congratulations!!!!' said everyone in unison.

'When could we wear this bracelets?' said Aditi.

'Once you both get united,' said Magaret.

'What do you mean?' said Dwayne.

'Brother Dwayne her highness Margaret wants to say that you both could wear the bracelets once you have copulated her highness Aditi.'

'Xavier!!!' said Erica.

'What?' said Xavier. 'He didn't understand. I just explained him clearly.'

'What if...' said Dwayne.

'We are hearing,' said Erica.

'What happens if we have already united,' said Dwayne.

'You must do it again,' said, laughing Margaret.

'Did you understand brother Dwayne or should I.....' said Xavier.

'Now everybody leave us alone,' said, blushing Aditi.

'Why would you need us?' said, laughing Mahadev. 'When you have got your husband.'

'Father!!!' said Aditi.

'Can everybody just leave,' said Jay.

Everyone leaves Aditi and Dwayne alone in Aditi's new room which she named as Dwadi.
