It was almost like nothing changed. Lucas was as cold as ever, still denied that Ty had confessed and that he had said yes. Maybe it was because he wasn't entirely sure, or maybe he still had lingering feelings for a long dead boyfriend. Ty didn't know what it was, but he did know that he was damned determined to have Lucas as his own. It was almost painful to see the boy still locked -no chained- to that 'Ahndrai' boy.
"You know, if you took back your presidential position, this whole thing regarding the Stalkers would go a lot smoother for you," Ty commented off handily as he tilted the chair back on two legs again.
Lucas gave a soft growl and rolled his eyes, "Didn't I just say to stop asking- oh never mind."
"That wasn't a question, it was a statement."
"Smart ass. You'll find loop holes all around won't you?"
"You're catching on," Ty grinned.
The vampire sighed heavily and looked away. He was intently watching the crowd of people around them. It almost seemed like the hot boy was uncomfortable. Leaning forward, Ty reached out and gently touched Lucas' arm, gaining his attention immediately. A delicate flush of pink coated his pale cheeks, the pupils of his silver orbs enlarging almost to engulf the tantalizing color.
"You look uncomfortable. Want to go?"
"We can't."
"They can find us. They're a demi-God right? How hard could it be?"
"She's a demi-God, and yes she could find us, but we told her we would meet here. Do you really wanna piss off a demi-God?" Lucas' hissed, leaning over the table to glare at Ty at a closer distance.
It was a bad move on the vampire's part and he probably realized it the moment he got close for Ty ducked down quickly, letting the chair fall forward as he did so, and snatched a kiss from the unsuspecting boy. The resulting gasp and literal 'freak-out' moment, was ever so entertaining. Ty pulled away and grinned at his boyfriend. Well, boyfriend-to-be.
"Damnit you!"
"What? It was too tempting."
"You're a pain in my ass... I swear!"
"You like it, don't you?"
"Who the hell said I did?"
"You're face does. Every time too, it's quiet easy to tell. Or maybe, you're doing it on purpose because you know I'm having fun doing it?"
Lucas' eye's narrowed and he slid away from Ty, leaning against his chair with folded arms and glowering out at the crowd. Ty settled for gazing at the vampire from across the table. He would leave the boy alone for a while, satisfied with his teasing.
"Thanks for waiting," the girls voice broke through Ty's thoughts and fantasies. He fought the urge to frown as he turned to look up at the woman who was the demi-God.
"Thank you for coming. We need to talk, privately. It's really important."
"Of course, anything to help a Cahastile. Our families are rather close anyway. Who is the human?"
"Tyrathane," Lucas answered with a bit of an annoyed sigh.
"Is he-"
"No. He just thinks he is."
The girl nodded her head, dark brown hair shifting as she did so. The straight locks fell over her shoulders down past her chest in a beautiful shiny cascade. Equally dark brown eyes watched Ty like a hawk. There seemed to be a bit of interest in her gaze as a thinly shaped eyebrow lifted ever so slightly. Ty offered her his customary grin, running his tongue against the inside of his teeth. With a flick, he clicked the ring against the back of his teeth once before standing up.
"I'm every bit a part of this as he is. You see, he hasn't mentioned it yet, but I'm his boyfriend. Name's Tyrathane, nice to meet you..." he elongated the last word as an invitation for her to give her name.
"Nameia."
"Nameia. A pleasure. Never met a demi-God in person before. Well, on a first name basis anyway," Ty said smoothly.
She lifted an eyebrow fully this time, her lips quivering as she fought off a smile. Even so, she grinned ever so slightly as she turned to look at Lucas, "I don't think you'll be keeping this one out of your hair so easily, Lucas Cahastile."
"You're not helping," Lucas growled as he stood up too, "Don't encourage him. It's bad enough. Come on, let's go."
Nameia watched Lucas brush passed her, this time her lips did pull into a smile. Turning, she regarded Ty carefully. A soft laugh left her lips as she waited for Lucas to be out of ear shot.
"I'm happy to see he has someone again. Not that he'll admit it right now, but he will.
Patience."
"I was never really good at that, but I'll do my best."
Nameia laughed, loudly. Her head threw back slightly and the ringing sound was actually nice to listen to. It wasn't too high pitched, nor too deep. It was at the perfect level, "Yes. I think you'll do just fine for him. Come on, or he'll leave us behind."
"Sure that's a good idea?"
"I get the feeling that you're not letting this one go any time soon. Might as well have you along for the ride. Besides," she leaned in close to him, "It's not like you have a whole lot to worry about hu?"
Ty's smile faded immediately as Nameia turned on her heel and started through the crowd. What did that mean? Was it possible that the demi-God knew? Did she really know about him? His little... secret? Impossible... however, his heart sped up just a bit, a slight nervous twitch nestling into his skin. He was going to have to be careful around her.
