The pack hadn’t taken the news very lightly, Damon had been getting a lot of negative responses, but he shrugged it off. In 3 days he would be with her, he would be with his mate and nothing and no one would be able to stop it.

Delaney walked through her garden in silence. Her flowers had blossomed beautifully lately, and soon it was time to harvest them. Since her subjects were born here, her flowers and herbs weren’t poisonous to them.
But outsiders would perish instantly. The Auclair was soon in full bloom. Yes, she could make everything grow faster than naturally, but she also enjoyed the process of nature.
Damon and the others are going to be here in two days, so she needed to close off the garden. It would not look good for her if someone ended up dead within a week. She could not deny that she missed him or that everything was going very very fast since she first met him. When was that? A week ago probably.
" Your highness" A light voice sounded a few feet away.
Delaney turned and saw Amy standing at the bottom of the staircase, not daring to take another step into the garden.
" Yes? What is it?" She answered.
" You have received a letter, it needs your attention right now" Amy said.
The servant girl bowed before going inside the castle to do her chores for the day. Maybe she should send the servants away for a day or two. They did deserve the rest.
Delaney let out a sigh before walking into the castle, since the garden connected to her private chambers it only took her two minutes to reach her desk.
She froze at the sight of the vigil on the letter.
No, this could not be.
"GUARDS" She yelled. The hissing noise filled the room in a matter of seconds and then the shadow-skeletons appeared in every corner.
" Put more soldiers on every border! Prepare the kingdom for war and do not let anyone or anything out or into the kingdom, EXCEPT Alpha Damon and his pack."
They bowed before her and then they were gone.

They were soon going to be at the deadly garden border. His mother had complained about the entire car ride here, but Damon just ignored it, the only thing on his mind right now was his mate.
The forest was unusually quiet, it was almost as if it held its breath for something.
" Alpha, we are arriving in 2 minutes "the drover said. Damon nodded in response, trying to get a scent of what was going on. There were no smells either.
" Damon, if your mate is doing this to the forest you need to stop her. We can't hunt if we can't smell our surroundings", His mother said, annoyed.
"We are here, and it looks like they came to greet us, my dear", his father said.

Delaney had organized a greeting party for Damon and his pack, and she had even changed into her most beautiful red dress and her gold ruby crown. She wanted to look good for him. The past four days had been like a new kind of torture on her. She had missed him. It was almost as if she needed his closeness.
Damon and his parents stepped out of those wired vehicles and walked towards her. Damon went up to her, hugged her and kissed her on the cheek, but his parents, they just stood there. Said nothing and did nothing.
" Loranda" Delaney said through gritted teeth," What a pleasure, seeing you. "
The former Luna Loranda just waved her hand at her, gasps could be heard all around them, her subjects shook at the disrespect for their queen.
" Yes yes if you say so, this is my husband, Richard. We would like to get settled. The journey has been long" Loranda said, hooking her arm to Richard.
Delaney turned to a dark corner behind her and whispered" Help our new subjects to find their homes."
Hissing echoed all around them and then her shadow-skeleton appeared. Damon's pack screamed in horror at the beings in front of them, but that fear soon turned to shock when the beings started floating away with their luggage.
Damon had to struggle not to laugh at his pack members running after screaming bloody murder at the guards.
"W-what i-is-t-that", His mother said, barely getting the words out.
" They are my guards, they protect the kingdom. But i would advise you not to roam around at night, when they feed", Delaney said, her eyes glowing slightly green.
His mother hurried off with his father, trying to keep up with his upset wife. The rest of the pack went after them to see their new homes, leaving only Delaney and Damon.
" Come on", She said and stretched out her hand, a smile on her lips. Damon took her hand and smiled, he looked forward to this. A lot.
