28The train finally pulled into the central station in Athens, waking the weary travelers as it jolted to a halt. Maria Christina and Zoitsa exited the train and were walking towards the baggage car, when a young man in a suit walked up to them and introduced himself. “Miss Petrakis? Miss Triantafyllou? Good evening, ladies. My name is Mihalis. I am an aide to Minister Napoleon Zervas. I am to be your driver and guide while you are in Athens. The Minister sends his compliments and insists you join him for breakfast in the morning.” Mihalis then ushered the dumbstruck travelers into the back seat of a big black Sedan, Zervas’ personal car, then he retrieved their trunk from the baggage car.
