"Uh, I think next month, if my boss is in a good mood. She has been pushing it forward for the past three months," Megumi said sadly.
"Then it means you're overdue for a break," Jake concluded.

"No. I can't afford that right now," she giggled.
"I can," said Jake. "Would you like to come and visit me for a few days?"
Megumi was quiet and Jake could practically hear the wheels turning in her head on the other end of the line.
"I'm not sure," she said at last. "We are launching our new collection next week and working crazy hours right now. I don't think my boss will let me leave."
