I held her hand, tears in my eyes, her body lying listlessly on the hospital bed, the endless machines making their annoying beeping sounds as her chest moved weakly up and down. I was exhausted. The only time I ever moved from Jordan’s side was to shower and even then, I used the bathroom in the hospital while Thomas stayed by her side. If I ate, it was in the chair next to her.
